Subject: Question about your folding benchmark

Hi Dr. Chen, I'm a sophomore in bio and CS. I used your folding benchmark in my class project and hit a question about the validation split. Could I send you a two-line summary? I'd also love to help in the lab this spring if you're taking undergrads.

FAQ

Questions students ask

Is Avian really free for students?

You start free: 500 credits on signup, enough for 5 flights (one flight is one person researched, with 3 drafts). No credit card. If you need more, Pro is $8/month, or $5.33/month billed annually, and Max is $24/month, or $16/month billed annually.

Will Avian write my whole email for me?

It writes three drafts based on research about the person and what you tell it about yourself. You should read, edit, and make them yours before you send. Professors and recruiters can tell when nobody did.

Can I use it to email professors?

Yes. Paste the professor's name, lab page, or Google Scholar link. Avian finds their recent work so you can reference something specific and ask a clear, small question.

What about college applications?

Avian helps you reach out to people connected to a school: admissions reps, alumni, current students, coaches. It does not write your application essays.

Where does the information come from?

Public pages on the web, such as their profile, publications, and posts. Avian does not read private accounts.

Does it guarantee a reply?

No. Nothing does. A specific, short, relevant message gets read far more often than a template, and that's what Avian is built to help you write.
